I Never Thought I'd Be THAT Mom

by Heavenly Mommy on March 4, 2010

1. The mom that has Cheerios all over her back seat, under the seats, and in the cracks of her SUV. Who has time to pick them up?

2. The mom that gives her toddler a spoon to bang on the table in a restaurant. After all, a banging spoon IS better than a screaming kid.

3. The mom that lets her toddler eat off the table in a restaurant. {After using Clorox wipes of course}

4. The mom that eats her toddler’s food scraps from his high chair. {The clean ones people. I’m not gross!}

5. The mom that lets her toddler hold the bubbles – planning on staring at him while he does – but then you hear a big gulp.

6. The mom that lets her toddler run in the house with his socks on his feet.

7. The mom that lets her toddler sit on the end table or kitchen table because she’s sick of telling him “no!” and pulling him off.

8. The mom that isn’t paying attention to her toddler and hears him sucking down her soda.

9. The mom that finally lets her toddler eat an ice-cube from Papa’s cup and then – you guessed it – he chokes.

10. The mom that waves to her toddler while he’s on the last stair – on the carpet - and then sees him fall back. He was so happy too!

Being a mom is not for the faint of heart.

This is funny!

And this kind of blog post, I think you’ll find, is not only faster to write than narrated long form ones, but really popular with people too. People like lists for some reason, I’ve learned.

Good job!

No one can ever tell what kind of parent he or she will become when the time has come. Before when one plans and is starting a family ideas and concepts on how you should be as a mom are at mind, but when faced with the real deal you can never follow those plans and ideas you had, facts are facts, ideas are idea, but what’s important is you where able to raise a well rounded child spiritually,mentally and physically.

I became a hundred moms I never thought I’d be, and for the most part, I’m proud of it. Laid back, but not stupid (as you say,) is just fine with me.
I recall my sister in law being very grossed out by her nephew who had boogies all the time – she really could not take it, and yes, you guessed it; she had a child who was VERY boogieful. You never know what you’re gonna get, and you never know what you’ll become until you ARE!
