It’s time to celebrate! Bring out the pull-string pinatas and cupcakes! We’re officially celebrating Heavenly Mommy’s 100th blog post! Thanks to all of my friends and family that have been following my blog since November 2009. A big welcome to all my new followers too. Be glad you found me now that I have some experience under my belt! Ha, ha!
Seriously though, I started this blog because I needed something creative to do as a stay-at-home mom. I have always enjoyed writing, except that dreaded term paper, so what better way to spend my spare time than to write about my faith and my adventures as a mom and wife.
I hope my posts show you how much I LOVE being a mom. I know that I am so very blessed to be able to stay home with my little boy instead of heading off to a job everyday. I was a teacher before this so if I went back to work I’d be spending time with another mom’s kid instead of my own. Thankfully I get to watch my son as he experiences his many firsts as a toddler. I love seeing him experience something that is new to him. Like playing with the water as it comes out of the hose. Not a big deal to us as adults, but to Ryan it is the coolest thing in the world!
Enough about me. What about you? I’ve been noticing on my Heavenly Mommy Facebook page that a lot of you are making comments about how much you enjoy being a mother. So this post is for all of you to rant and rave about why YOU love to be a Mommy.
- What do you enjoy about being a mommy?
- If you hope to be a mommy one day, what are you looking forward to the most?
I am proud to be a mommy. What about you? Leave your comments below. That includes all of you who love to read, but never really comment. Here’s your chance!

I have 6 children that I have been fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom to. My baby is one year old and the only one left at home during the school year. My oldest is 23 so I have been doing this for a long time. I enjoy your blog and I was secretly hoping for #2 for you. God will find a way to bless you where you are and take you where you want to be. I suspect He will fill your void very soon in a very interesting and fulfilling way. Congratulations on 100.
My daughter was born on mother's day this year, being a first time mommy… this day never meant much to me before, but boy oh boy does it mean the world to me now! She came to the world 5 weeks prematurely…. and at 9 weeks old, she looks like any other healthy little infant. I can not believe how much I love this little girl! -Or what I have been missing out on. I have always loved children…. I used to say 'I love kids, but I dont need to have any of my own'. While this was true at the time, now that Emalyn is here…. I know I will never feel that way again. What an extreme blessing!

I was so anxious to become a mother after I got married. I had many answers to prayers and had felt empty inside, that my purpose was not fulfilled and I felt stagnant. So when my husband felt ready to start a family I was estactic! We were blessed to conceive quickly. We were blessed with the sweetest angel in April 2009. Having a c-section and recovering from it was worth it all. I instantly felt my empty void in my heart filled. I was consumed with joy I never felt before. I am so grateful the Lord blessed and trusted me with her precious spirit. My main priority to teach her in life is to learn about Christ and believe in Christ. And that she is a daughter of God with a special purpose and destiny. I love her more than anything in the world. And I look forward to having more children someday.
Congrats on your 100th post!!
The joy of being a mother and watching my precious 9 month old grow up is more then I could ever ask for. She is absolutely amazing!!
