Today I took Ryan to the park after his afternoon nap. We were minding our own business when this little girl walked up to Ryan and started talking to him like they were pals since birth.
She started hugging him and trying to hold his hand. Um, hello! That’s my son you’re touching! Ryan just kept looking over his shoulder at me saying, “Mama, Mama” and wondering what to do next.
This little girl was totally invading Ryan’s space.
Now don’t get me wrong folks. I’m glad Ryan found a friend, but it would make me happier if she didn’t act like they were dating. On top of all that, she’s a total cougar. Being about 4, she’s like twice his age or something.
Let’s just say that I was super glad when her and the rest of her family had to leave the park. Except for the part when she turned to Ryan and said, “Bye. I love you!”
Is this what it’s going to feel like when he starts preschool in a year? Am I going to feel like I suddenly don’t have control anymore? I hope not because if it is, he’s never starting school. I’ll just homeschool him.

Ok…thats hilarious Jen! I loved the couger part!
It cracks me up that little kids can just be friends like they have known each other forever within 2 seconds. How adorable she said "I love you"!
