I’m up nice and early on this beautiful day because today’s my birthday! Woo hoo!
Last night my hubby and I were out shopping with the kids for my birthday gift. I had been wanting an eReader for the longest time and couldn’t decide between the Nook (Barnes & Noble) or Kindle (Amazon), but I finally chose the Nook!

Here is my cute cover by Kate Spade. It says, “once upon a time” on the front cover.
And then, “happily ever after” on the back of the cover.
The inside is a cool turquoise color.
I also got a reading light just in case I want to read in bed while Todd is sleeping.
I’m so excited to start using it! I set up my account and charged up the Nook so it’s all ready to go.
I’ll let you know if it meets all my expectations and soon as I break it in.
Well, I must go so my special day can begin! We’re all off to IHOP for some breakfast. Then I’m taking Ruby with me to get a manicure and pedicure. Should be a fun day!

Happy Birthday! You’ll definitely have to post your thoughts on the Nook…I’ve been looking at both the Nook and Kindle myself and can’t pull the trigger. Any specific reason you chose the Nook over the Kindle? Both seem snazzy to me

Thanks Sandy! I chose the Nook because it was easy to get by just going to Barnes & Noble, plus they are easy to access if I have a problem. I liked the $149 price too. I also like the looks of the Nook better, but I do love the look of the new Kindle with the granite. I have a feeling there are more titles with Kindle, but hopefully my Nook will have all the ones I want! You can also trade books for free if your friend has a Nook. The Kindle is also on backorder with a two week wait time and I don’t like to wait
I will try and do a post when I’ve used it for a little while.
And…you’ve talked me into it. I have a bunch of Barnes and Noble giftcards, so I might just have to head over this afternoon and take a peek at one. That’s one of the things I hate about the Kindle, I can’t find one in a store to look at and play with!

Happy birthday – you’ll have to do a review of the nook once you’ve had it for a bit… I am having the same debate… but am currently leaning towards the new kindle… since hubby can order it now and it would still get here for my b-day next month… hopefully
